Up in the Gym....

We have both been workin' on our FITNESS--since summer is coming here already (oh my gosh, where has the time gone!?)  I am working out at a gym in bartlett called Urban Fitness Kickboxing (http://www.urbanfitnesskickboxing.com/) It is such an awesome all- around work out, you work every muscle in your body everytime you are there and you NEVER leave without being drenched in sweat....the music is loud and good and there are all types of people that attend class!

here are the bags that we take out our aggresions on :)  its also a great stress reliever...

The Hubby is doing the Insanity Workout (http://www.beachbody.com/) which is by the same people as P90X--so you KNOW it's good!  He is in a competition with people from work and if anybody is working out half as hard as he is--they will be the best looking department in the building!  Good Job Babe, Keep it Up!

It's been a while....

Hello All!

I know I've been slackin' on "the blog".......my bad!

We've been to Chicago for a wedding, Nashville for our 1st Wedding Anniversary and the Spring River just for fun.

Nashville was so fun--we hung out with some old friends, went to the country music hall of fame (where we got the Bocephus Box Set of CD's ) and then went to a couple of country bars--duh--it is Nashville!

This picture is from "Paradise Park" it is basically a trailer park bar equipped with astroturf, plastic lawn furniture and obviously broken down cars (as you can see)

We heard some good country music and ate some great food in the "Music City" and didn't want to come home!

But we are back now and constantly doing something around the house--yardwork, cleaning, doing laundry or dishes--but all of you understand that.....I've gotten 4 plants--I've re-potted them all and am currently trying to keep them all alive (one is not looking good) I don't even know what ANY of them are called, how big they are going to get, if they belong inside or if I should have Tom plant them outside...hmmmm

This is Niice!

We celebrated the 4th of July in West Palm Beach, Florida with Tom's family(mom, dad, 3 brothers, 1 sister, brother in law). It was so nice to spend a couple of days on the beach, just relaxing...We went to a Palm Beach Cardinals Baseball game(single A ball, I think) and saw fireworks after! We had great food, drinks and company. It was a good, quick trip

Weekend wuz happenin'....

This weekend was a big sports weekend...we started out at the Redbirds Game with my uncle and my two little sisters, Constance and Candice. It was good to hang out with all of them. We actually saw my aunt and uncle and two other cousins at the game too--and the Redbirds WON on top of it all! YAY!

On Saturday night, Tom and Tony (my cousin) went to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Race and had an awesome time. They had low expectations of this race but ended up having a great time and seeing lots of "interesting" characters. After the race, we partook in the "World Famous Gus's Chicken" and 32oz beers

All in all it was a good weekend...relaxing and watching sports!!

Jerry's

So I have grown up in Memphis all of my life and have NEVER heard of Jerry's Sno Cones, until the other day---so I had to go try it out....now its not really in the best of neighborhoods-but hey, what hole in the wall is??? My friend Anna and I decided to venture to Jerry's on a 103 degree June Day!

This is called the "Supreme" I got the wedding cake flavored sno cone with chocolate and vanilla swirl soft serve layered throughout--once you get over the color--it's really good! People go and just order the ice with NO flavor--its that good! Anyhoo just wanted to share--
